Re: MLAT server running dog slow

Thanks Jon, was wondering if there was a problem, I've just checked here at home in case it was my works BT speed - 8MB - COR greased lightning, but still slow on my Virgin 100MB, but not so bad. At least this will let everyone know what's happening. Keep up your great work, much appreciated 8-) John

Re: Basestation.sqb

Thanks for that Martin, I am only a casual user of VRS, and I have two RPi's running 24/7, one feeds data to FR24, the other MLAT data to VRS World. As such I have no logging going on and just use VRS on my PC to track A/C locally to me. I find VRS gives me better viewing options than FR24 even thou...

Re: Basestation.sqb

Hi Martin
I have no experience with keeping my own database, I just used to download the sql zip file off the PB website Download Tab. I have downloaded PB3 and PBLink, and updated the databases in PB3, but I have no idea how to export the SQB if this is even possible ?

Basestation.sqb

Now that PlaneBase no longer allows access to updated Basestation SQB data, anyone have any ideas where to get one ??

Thanks

Lightning map

Yes, I know this is a dream - integrate a/c position data on VRS and a real time lightning overlay such as found on http://www.lightningmaps.org/
Now that would be the dogs bo***cks :D

Re: Acars And Routes

Sorry Nigel, misunderstood the question - I have no knowledge of this at all, its a new one on me. Maybe this question would be better asked in the "Routes" forum ?

Re: Acars And Routes

Hi Nigel, I stand to be corrected by more knowledgeable people but ACARS is not the same type of data as ADS-B which is what VRS and FR24 use. I believe that Plane Plotter will accept ACARS data, but you have to pay for this software. I have never managed to get far with PP, but that's probably me. ...
