Re: Today's flights sorted by date redundancy (beta version)

OK figured out one thing, sort by "none" instead of "date" fixes the titles thing but now under "Seen" the time repeats, and all the flight durations are now zero.

Today's flights sorted by date redundancy (beta version)

On the "today's flights" report, sorted by date, now each date and time has a "title," it is redundant. It wasn't there until updating to most recent beta (Jan. 19, 2020). Can this be turned off? It's extra clutter.

Sudden Tile Server Settings Storage errors

This is latest beta and also happens on latest 2.4.1. I have been using the beta for months now. Computer overheated and turned off, I suspect that is the cause and something was corrupted. Uninstall/reinstall doesn't help. Version 2.3.1 backup in a sub folder in the main VRS folder still works, how...

Re: High CPU usage

I opened Chrome and let it run overnight, minimized, with only the VRS map tab open, nothing else. This was last night around 10 p.m., it is now 5:40 a.m. so almost 8 hrs Chrome is almost completely unresponsive and it's using quite a bit of memory. There are several processes open and two of them a...

High CPU usage

Version 2.2/Windows 10 laptop I noticed in Chrome that CPU usage by the browser was creeping up and up. It would begin at 15-20 percent on my laptop and eventually over the next few hrs or a day or two the usage would be 50-60 percent, making the computer sluggish and nearly unusable. I switched to ...

Re: Decoding TIS-B DF 18 CA 6

I'm using it now, it is working great and I notice also a new choice in the aircraft list for TIS-B yes/no, that is very helpful. Thanks for the fine work!

Re: Decoding TIS-B DF 18 CA 6

Ah, so VRS isn't completely discarding the frames, it's just not decoding the positions. OK! I hope you can find what's preventing it, I'd rather not have to run ADSBScope simultaneously if I don't need to. Only reason I noticed it was I was without internet for a few weeks last summer and ran ADSBS...

Re: Ubuntu unhandled exception SettingsPresenter

A complete fresh reinstall of 15.04 seems to have fixed it. Linux is such a PITA, I only loaded it on an old computer to run dump978, that's all it does, and I wanted VRS to log a separate basestation file so I could compare it to 1090's logs. I have netcat serving VRS both on the linux machine and ...

Re: Decoding TIS-B DF 18 CA 6

Signal strengths are shown in VRS from the ADSBScope receiver Here's the breakdown ModeSDeco2 output --beast on port 47806 VRS input: 47806 AVR or Beast Dump978 input: 30303 AVR or Beast VRS output: 33003 passthrough ADSBScope input: 33003 (binary RAW data client) ADSBScope output: 31022 decoded dat...

Re: Decoding TIS-B DF 18 CA 6

I'm using modesdeco2 to feed into VRS, which in turn feeds ADSBScope in "pass through" mode. ADSBScope in turn feeds back into VRS in Basestation MSG format. This seems to preserve the signal strength data. The Dump978 from a linux machine also is fed into VRS in BEAST format. UAT here is almost exc...
