Andrew -

Thank you, all set now. I edited the xml file, and will give the preview a look later on too.

Re: Website Initial Settings - Blank but Location is Stuck

Hi Andrew - I still haven't solved this, so a little more information. Accessing the settings page on the server (127.0.0.1/settings.html) as you described confirms that the settings are blank/empty (going so far as to "Export Settings" to confirm the settings are empty). Accessing the settings page...

Website Initial Settings - Blank but Location is Stuck

Looking to see if anyone can help or provide some guidance. At some point in the past, I hard coded a GPS coordinate into the Web Site Initial Settings option. In spite of the Initial Settings window now being blank, the map is still identifying the previous fixed location. Is there another location...

Re: Hi... New To All This

Check out VRS-world.com. Great group of people based in Europe (full disclosure, I admin the NA server side of the site). They have an excellent MLAT network that you would likely enjoy for what you want to do.

Re: Editing db to change Civil/Military

Thank you both for the information. That is exactly what I was looking for. The ICAO isn't a US based one but the repeated callsign usage and flight history leads me to believe it is a US military flight. Therefore I was thinking of making the edit locally, rather than asking anyone to change the "m...

Re: Receivers - What's Everyone Using?

Definitely some longer range from the home-brew to the ESE. Within the home-brew realm, I did "upgrade" from the Nooelec R802T2 to an Airspy a few weeks ago. Message count is way up, and a/c count is slightly higher, but range is unchanged (R802T2 is the lighter shade below). It proves what I earlie...

Editing db to change Civil/Military

This has me stumped. There is an a/c in the local .sqb database that is coded as civil. In the Aircraft table for the appropriate record, I set the UserString4 field to "M" believing this would effect the change. It doesn't appear to have done anything as running a report against the specific regist...

Signal Strength Units of Measure?

What is the signal strength using for units of measure? I never gave it any thought until checking a new receiver against the Dump1090 signal strength which measures dBfs, and finding the values are significantly different between the receiver types.

Thanks.

Re: Receivers - What's Everyone Using?

Hi, For higher performance first look at antenna the antenna in key Please us the newer version r820T2 more stable and more performace than the old version. For higher performace of R820T you can look at (LNA) low noise amplifier or 1090mhz filter. With Two LNA and filter i got 50 km+ more in almos...

Receivers - What's Everyone Using?

This isn't strictly a VRS discussion, but thinking we're all VRS enthusiasts I thought it related. What are folks using for ADS-B receivers to feed VRS? The low cost RTL820T based SDR got me into the hobby a couple of years ago, but I'm thinking of upgrading the receiver to increase performance. I'v...
