I've got a few of these too - I understand from other fora that they are probably garbled reads - one or two garbled messages put a plane in the wrong place, and then it jumps to its proper line when the clearer ones come in. Perhaps someone who knows more about the detail of the settings can answer...

How about treating them as stationary "planes" with appropriate icons - possibly in a separate db, but one could concievably include navaids in the same file, and have tickboxes for which to show.

I'm using one of the slightly posher RTL283U units - it's in a can, with separate sockets for uhf/vhf and hf; the latter presumably feeds straight to the sampler for ds mode. I've got that sat in my window, with a homebrew QFH, which has a bazooka choke running up the support to act as a balun. The ...
