Re: Routes all wrong
This is also the time of year when many operators change their call signs. It takes a while for people like you and me to note the changes and upload them as mentioned above, and then there's a short interval while they're checked and approved.

Re: Updating aircraft data
OK, yes, most of the ones I've picked up in the last week are aircraft registered within the past year. There are a couple of exceptions: 406540 = G-EZGR (6 years) and 4401FA = OE-IVW (2 years). I did check out the Planebase site, but there doesn't seem to be any way in unless you know someone (whic...

Updating aircraft data
I know how to contribute and correct route data. Is there a way of sending in corrections to aircraft data?
For example I have a number of hits in my log where I have the ADS-B ICAO code but it's not being matched to an aircraft.

Re: Aircraft is not transmitting its callsign
I may have solved the problem. I've reconfigured VR to accept a "base station" feed rather than a "raw" data feed from the receivers, and call signs, altitudes and squawks now appear. This presumably means there is something going wrong in the Virtual Radar treatment of the "raw" data feed in that i...

Re: Aircraft is not transmitting its callsign
Yes, these will be aircraft that don't send out position data. It is a merged feed, and the "ignore positionless flights" box was already unticked. I've now ticked the MLAT box for each of the three feeds making up the merge, but it's not made any difference. I've noticed that the list also frequent...

Re: Aircraft is not transmitting its callsign
I don't know what a json is, sorry, but I have checked my own raw feed reports (I'm also using FR24 software). At the moment, for example, VR list view is showing: Reg. Callsign Route FL V.Speed A/P Alt. Speed Hdg. A/P Hdg. Type Operator ICAO Squawk G-JEDW DH8D Flybe 400B04 G-MAJL JS41 Eastern Airwa...

Aircraft is not transmitting its callsign
Several aircraft appear in list view with no call sign, and show text "Aircraft is not transmitting its callsign" in the detail area when clicked on. These are usually aircraft whcih are not tranmitting position data and hence don't appear on the map. But interrogating the feed directly shows that t...

Aircraft Label Backgrounds
This isn't a problem as such, just something I'd like to understand! I have only recently discovered VirtualRadar and have installed it on two systems I have running, one on Windows 10 and one on Linux. The browser page produced by the Windows 10 server has aircraft labels in a white font with no ba...
