Re: Running Total?

Well, by way of an update, I have just had the newest raspberry PI it's been running on fail. Since this is the third PI to fail then I think it's time to call it a day with ADSB. It seems they just can't handle doing it long term. All 3 have failed for one reason or another and it seems Raspberry P...

Running Total?

For a few years a friend and myself have had some software running to monitor the number of flights tracked in a day. I helped analyze & plot the software and he (being younger and more agile) coded it in python. It has to be said it's not for the faint hearted coder. However as the years have shown...

Re: No Range Plot

Further discovery:

I don't have an entry "Menu|Receiver Range" either.

I've told the config that web users can view the plot, but it does not show. I'm guessing that if I can't see that menu item, then it might be part of the problem. <shrug>

Re: No Range Plot

UPDATE:

Just noticed this in the window that ran VRS

Code: Select all

libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
libpng warning: iCCP: cHRM chunk does not match sRGB
Can they be connected or is it another problem? <shrug>

No Range Plot

Hello folks, Today I installed the latest version on a Raspberry Pi. (VRS 2.4.3) I also have the old version running on another PI. I am not seeing the receiver range plot on the new install. As far as I can tell I've set up everything identically. Running on a Raspberry Pi 3 B plus, and that wit th...

Can VRS do something that sounds simple?

Hi all, I'm trying to find a way to get VRS to tell me how many planes it's logged so far today. It sounds simple, but it seems to be beyond possible. How can that be with such clever software? I want to remotely monitor the state of the plane count for the day, and to display that number a panel ap...

Looking for simple software to graph from VRS

Hi Folks, I feed flightaware, but I'm not all that gone on the output from the stats page. I'd like to revert to dump1090 running on my PI2 and use it to feed VRS on my Linux desktop. I'm already doing this on the PI Aware image, and it's been nicely writing a database over a month or two now. I'd l...

Re: Altitude bug

Agree, seen a few of late. Faulty gear in the plane?

Not just altitudes either. crazy distances, in fact better described as un-realistic offsets being seen.
