Re: Web Site - Initial Settings

Thank you for reply. Windows and Linux on same machine, dual boot, so copying can be awkward though Linux can read Windows file system. Will look in to that one. I've used Linux for years and not had a problem with it opening a local filepath but seldom an issue so not something I can recall having ...

Web Site - Initial Settings

Folks, Got v2.4.2 working fine on my Linux Ubuntu system with one problem. Under options, web site, initial settings clicking on the http://127.0.0.1:8080/VirtualRadar/desktop.html or the mobile and settings option gets no response. If I enter that address directly into a browser then the page comes...

Panning Map

Folks, Using VRS with the ADSBExchange data it is sometimes nice to be able to view traffic in locations other than the users position. The only way I have found of doing so is by panning the map. I do reduce the map size to do this but VRS still tries to list the aircraft as the map position moves....

Re: DHCP address changes settings

Try using Dynamic DNS service. I'm using this one: https://freedns.afraid.org/ I'm talking about the local network address. Seems if my router gives a different local IP to my VRS machine then all the VRS web page settings return to default. But as mentioned in previous post it seems it has to be s...

Re: DHCP address changes settings

OK folks, think I am getting my head round it.

Seems web site initial settings explains it but appears the default needs to be set on 127.0.0.1 rather than the computer's actual IP address. Almost there.

Changing Location

Folks, Know how to alter location and set new default location but not sure how to ensure map opens at correct location. Today I was viewing adsbexchange on VRS. I live in UK but map opened at Los Angeles Airport. I know how to move map to my location but of course every time I move map it wants to ...

DHCP address changes settings

Folks,

Fairly new to VRS, what I've found is if the network address changes then the preferred settings all revert back to default and users have to go through all the preferences again. Is there a way round this?

Re: Map Brightness

Thanks for reply, noticed assbexchange were brighter and that they used Google maps.

Cant quite understand Google's key system to use their map but the OSM maps are fine.

Re: Map Brightness

Now I am guessing it must be a setting somewhere as if I go to adsbexchange.com and view their Global Radar View the map is bright as I would expect.

Map Brightness

Folks, Running 2.4.2 on Linux and using latest Firefox as browser, VRS appears to be working fine but would like to clarify something; I've tried various map displays and whilst all are perfectly readable they all appear slightly dark as though viewed through sunglasses. This may be intentional for ...
