Re: What does the MLAT tick exactly do?

In using this option I found that position information from these MLAT feeds were used over the position information from direct data. Thus airplanes were moving back and forward on the map. Disabled the option.

Location privacy for public url

I could have missed something but when opening my radar by the public IP address, the dot location is exactly my home. Can this be changed to something random within a certain distance? (And then include shifting of the range circles and plots as well otherwise location can still be acquired.)

Re: What does the MLAT tick exactly do?

I know what MLAT is, have a basic understanding of how it works, but still don't understand what explicitely will change when telling VRS that a certain feed is MLAT. It allows VRS to take positions for an aircraft from this feed when available, even if more frequent data is coming in from other re...

What does the MLAT tick exactly do?

http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/documentation/webserver/MergedFeedOptions.aspx MLAT This tick box is only enabled when you select a receiver in the Receivers list. Ticking this box tells VRS that the selected receiver is an MLAT feed. The feed calculates positions for aircraft that do not transm...

Pasting path in 'Inject file' gives error. Typing does not.

Running on mono.
Put a path like /root/.local/share/VirtualRadar/CustomContent/MLAT.html in the Inject file line of the Custom Content plugin. It gives an error that the path/file does not exist. When typing the exact same path instead of pasting: no error.

Re: How to reduce VRS load on cpu

Thanks for the tips.

Here it could be 25% without clients on the webinterface. 33% with client.
Running an AMD Athlon X2 4050e. 11 year old server. Might upgrade when a nice deal appears.

Re: How to reduce VRS load on cpu

Yeah that was vague.

Let's reframe that to: server side, as in not taking into account clients connecting and thus generating CPU load.

How to reduce VRS load on cpu

Any suggestions to reduce the load on CPU?
With this I do not mean the load from the webinterface on the server or the client watching it, no, this is about the VRS upstream side.
