Re: Rebroadcast Server VRS to Basestation
@Skibox You seem to have answered the questions about modesmixer2 with the same answers that I did on another forum. I investigated further and although modesmixer2 seems to accept Compressed VRS as an input (no error messages!), the outout on port 10001 generates no plots on BaseStation software. T...

Re: Problem after Create User - Raspberry Pi 3 B
You might want to have a look here about installing more recent versions of Mono. https://forum.virtualradarserver.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1225 I'm installing on Debian on a PC and had the same error but folowing the instructions to install a leter version of Mono worked. @Andy - currently the ab...

Re: Install or MLAT problem
Well I installed via Joe's script on Debian on a PC to avoid upsetting my Pi and YOU ARE CORRECT. Running piaware-config -showall includes in its output #mlat-results-format "beast,connect,localhost:30104 beast,listen,30105 ext_basestation,listen,30106" # using default value Ah well. In my de...

Re: Install or MLAT problem
Well I'm sure there was no data on 30105 for me - and that was from an installation via Joe's script on Sunday.
I'll do it again to check

Re: Install or MLAT problem
I agree that somewhere it said about data on Piaware ports. But from the Piaware github site (https://github.com/flightaware/piaware) it only says: By default, multilateration positions resulting from the data that you feed to FlightAware are returned to you by sending them to the local dump1090 pro...

Merging Piaware data and rebroadcasting
Back once again to try out VRS. Considerable changes since my last venture here and the headless Linux server works well. Was hoping that this lightweight option would solve my problems. I'm looking for an alternative to modesmixer2 to merge and rebroadcast Piaware ADSB and MLAT data. Modesmixer2 wo...

Re: General Question
That's a good video - certainly a lot better than the one I watched the other day where all the important detail was off camera!
And you make a good point about the aircraft list - everything received appears in that so a good indicator of how the setup is working.

Re: Command line without X
Andrew Any progress on web configuration of the headless version? Or is it of limited value so you concentrate any spare time on maintaining the main program? I'm just after an update :D Ian Update: Further detail is that I'm looking to run VRS on a Pi. Had an idea that perhaps running VRS with a sc...

Re: Command line without X
Thank you for the quick response.
I just needed to copy "Configuration.xml" to the same directory on the headless setup and it worked.

Re: Command line without X
I have got version 2.1 running on Linux - where are the configuration files I need to copy to the headless version? Or do I need to run the Windows version to get the config files? Headless version seems to runs ok (shows map on client) but without config info it obviously doesn't connect to the rec...
