Re: Slugish Performance

After playing round it now looks like a Chrome hardware acceleration issue as when I turn this off things improve significantly.

Re: Slugish Performance

Just to add a bit of detail from this morning with about 160 aircraft displaying. It takes about 2 seconds for the aircraft list to react to a scroll up or down request with a single aircraft label for each aircraft on the map display. Removing the aircraft labels helps significantly and brings this...

Slugish Performance

Hi Andrew and all, I've swapped over to using the preview version from 4th Feb and I wondered if I'm not the only one who is finding that there seems to be significant additional workload on the browser/client side since the last stable release? For me, this is making things appear quite sluggish (b...

Re: Global Lookup Database Staleness

Okay, quick update, I have tried checking and un-checking the option to overwrite details and things now seem to be okay. I have no idea what might have been causing the problem before, but things are looking good now. Sorry if I've just caused any un-necessary work.

Re: Global Lookup Database Staleness

Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply. I've actually been filling in ICAO Operator fields for some entries and for some blank entries, like the new Ryanair 737's that haven't hit online database yet, been filling in most of the fields using the database editor plug-in. If, after doing the edits I query th...

Re: Global Lookup Database Staleness

Hi guys, I have a similar issue to this, running the preview version from 28th March 2016. I am trying to let VRS lookup unknown aircraft from the internet and add them to the SQB file, but to then be able to update bits manually in the SQB file using the database editor plugin. However, if I make a...

Position Accuracy Info

Hey Andrew, Just a quick one to ask if it would be possible to show aircraft position accuracy somehow? I'm thinking along the lines of showing NUC/NAC/NIP values, either in the Aircraft details or Aircraft List view as a minimum but perhaps more ambitiously a ring around a selected aircraft if the ...

Skyvector.com Maps

Having come across the skyvector.com flight planning site, their mapping information is great and 'appears' easily accessible via the web. Is there any way VRS could have the option to display this as the background map as an alternative to google maps? I guess there are two parts to this, technical...

Re: VRS V1.2.1

Guys, Just a quick one to say I'm very happy to say I've got VRS working on my Raspberry Pi thanks to all the help on this thread :) I too had the original Mono problems, but the version uploaded by Chriso seems to work perfectly for me. I'm running dump1090 on a Realtek DVB-T USB stick, VRS via Mon...
