Re: Show Flight Path Instead of Only Start/End Points in Rep

I am sure it is technically possible but probably not a good idea in practice. You would have to store the position information of every aircraft continuously or at least every few minutes. I am such the processing and storage overhead on the database would be massive especially for people tracking ...

Re: New CHEAP LNA

I have just received one of these LNA's. So far it seems pretty good. Like other people I am not really seeing a significant increase in range but that's probably down to antenna / location (ground floor flat so v. limited in what I can do). I do seem to get higher data rates (messages per seconds) ...

Re: I cannot Print reports

I think printing reports is broken in the current release. I seem to recall Andrew mentioning accidentally omitting the CSS for this function in the release. Have a look at http://forum.virtualradarserver.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=443 and see if that matches your problem. If so, I am sure Andrew's p...

Re: Airline code STK

Probably wise words Andrew. While the purist in me would like to have 'accurate' records if I start with change I'll start doing all airline changes and that way madness lies. I've just changed the Aer Arran aircraft to Stobart Air and I'll leave it at that. Spend the time enjoying VRS rather than '...

Re: Airline code STK

Apologies for slightly off-topic diversion of this thread but I was wondering how people handle changes like this. The change to Stobart Air (STK) only recently became effective (3-Aug, I think). Looking at my reports I have flights logged for Stobart / Aer Arran aircraft that pre-date the change. I...

Re: ICAO25 code 300434

Trigger

I'm in SW London. It was at 1175-1250 ft when I logged it.

Given my usual coverage I was wondering about LHR, LCY, Northolt or Denham but maybe it's just a new light aircraft out for a pleasure flight.

Re: ICAO25 code 300434

Would also be interested to know what is it.

I logged it on Saturday afternoon at around 4pm.

I didn't find an mention on the FR24 or airnavsystems forums, which are usually good for new / unknown aircraft.

Re: Maps Offline and other Newbie Topics

Hi Daniel I wasn't entirely sure what you meant about "working offline". While Andrew is, of course, correct about the no google maps option. Without an internet connection you will also lose a couple of other things: 1) The "aircraft detail" panel won't display photo's of the currently selected air...

Re: Change of callsign for Air Serbia?

Thanks Andrew

No worries about the delay.

Given the amount of requests and queries you get it's no wonder the [very] occasional thing slips by for a few days. Rest assured we all appreciate your effort and all the work you put in for our enjoyment.

Thank again

Re: flight routes? potential bug or (ahem) pilot error

I guess the problem is two-fold 1) callsigns aren't tied to specific aircraft. Here in the uk (and I guess it is the same elsewhere) if, for example, an aircraft is on the London - Manchester shuttle route it may make 8 or more trips a day; each trip will have a different flight number and a differe...
