Merged feed JSON rebroadcast leaks data if hidden from website

The "hide from website" option in a merged feed causes the selection of receivers to be ignored and ALL data in the server is exported instead, at least when using JSON feed format. When unchecked "hide from website", it works normally. The counters of aircraft etc all show correct but the feed actu...

Trail configuratuon

It would be very nice to be able to set the trail as follows; - Short trails for all aircraft - Full trail for the selected aircraft. I can't find a way to do this today, the settings need to be separated into All Aicraft: Long/Short/Off Selected: Long/Short/Off Or, an additional "Full trail for sel...

Re: Assistance Setting up Aircraft List JSON

So geometric altitude should work - but I suspect you might not be setting the altitude type, in which case it'll default to using Altitude. The altitude type is the AltT parameter, set it to 1 for GAlt. Thanks for the tip, hadn't tried the AltT field. But, it still does not accept the GAlt paramet...

Set up your own location correctly.

Re: Assistance Setting up Aircraft List JSON

I'm bulding a feeder client that sends data to VRS using JSON. The aircraft list JSON format is basically a cut-down version of the AircraftList.json file that is sent by VRS to the browser. How cut-down is it? Is there a list of which parameters VRS can read on a receiver using JSON format? I got m...

Re: Help with remote feed using modesmixer2

Configure a "push" receiver in VRS, with AVR/Raw data format.

Then set up modeSmixer2 on the Rpi.

modesmixer2 --inConnect localhost:30005 --outConnect beast:aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:xxxx

where abcd is your VRS machines public IP and xxx the port you selected.

Re: Receivers - What's Everyone Using?

I found some surplus filters on Ebay that works really well and would have cost a fortune to buy new.

But I can recommend this one as well:

Re: Using data from feeder sources

I sent you a PM reg this (in swedish) .

But in general, add a (virtual) receiver in VRS, point it to the port where there is data to pick up. Create a merged receiver from the different sources and set this to the default for web view.

Re: Support Globe-S via Rebroadcast?

ModeSmixer2 works just fine, but in the post above you seem to have confused it with modeSdeco, which is a different software. Also, MSM2 is only available pre-compiled, so you need to be running one of the supported systems. I use it on over 50 Rpi systems without any problems. It's most certainly ...
