Copy Receiver Range Plot

I've been running a Windows version of VRS for a few months but have just set up a Linux version on my RPi2.

Can I transfer the range plot? I've copied across the the "Saved Plots" folder and restarted VRS on the RPi2 but nothing other than a new plot begins to take shape.

Can I?

Re: Mode-S Callsign

Oki doki, I've taken the 30003 output direct from the FR24 receiver and also from ModeSMixer2 port 30003 having first fed MSM2 with port 30334 data from the FR24 receiver. I think that the FR24 receiver is sending the suspect callsign on 30334 as I see them in VRS but I've yet to look at the VRS re-...

Mode-S Callsign

I notice an asterisk next to the callsign on those flights having no positions and I understand this means that the callsign extracted from the message may be incorrect, however, I'd like to know why this callsign, right or wrong, isn't included in the Basestation (aka 30003) format.

Filters

Is it possible to filter "out" rather than filter "in"? I don't see an option for that in the filters.

Re: Range Rings on Map

I would be keen to try this but would need some clear instructions i.e. open this file, replace this code with this code etc.

Are the ranges in statute miles or nautical miles?

I'm now using VRS as my decoder, database and all round utility for ADS-B and Mode-S monitoring. I've moved away from PlanePlotter as I don't like the display and much of the complexity in keeping things going. VRS really is simplistic and I like running my ADS-B and Mode-S system on only 500Mb of R...

Re: Database Writer Needs Some Work

I see your point but I'm not sure Basestation does it correct either so just mimicking other software is poor development when the logic is clearly flawed (happy to be convinced). Another important but less annoying issue is the writing of the squawk to the Flights table. If the assigned squawk has ...

Database Writer Needs Some Work

Having been using VRS and the DBW plugin for a couple of days I notice that the LastSeen column is only ever updated after the plane has disappeared. When using the DBW feature to write a report on the flights being tracked this presents a problem because the time is not recorded in order to know th...

Re: Bugs in 1.1.0

In fact some of the MSG don't conform to the 'standard' port output.

Re: Bugs in 1.1.0

Using a Beast on serial I found it works great except the Port Server output when using Basestation format (aka 30003) in the lat/long values are extremely long and while they seem to support some add-ons, in others the position info is missing. Using Bones' reference at http://www.homepages.mcb.net...
