Re: Beast via USB on OSX

've interrested in installing RTL Dongle and dump1090 Do you have a tutorial on how you dide't with OSX ? I used Google to find a few different sets of instructions. You kind of have to piece it together. First install RTL-SDR by following this: http://blog.in9ram.com/post/79970804505/notes-on-sett...

Re: Beast via USB on OSX

Sorry for the delay in replying. I'm afraid I don't have a Beast so I can't try it for myself, but it looks like it's not happy with the baud rate. Does the Beast only send at 3000000 baud on its fake USB COM port? Could it be made to work with a lower figure like 115200? I'm guessing that the Beas...

Re: Beast via USB on OSX

Thanks for the reply. I've kind of given up on the Beast for now. I switched to an RTL dongle and dump1090 and I'm really impressed with the performance.

Beast via USB on OSX

Is anyone able to connect directly to a Mode-S Beast via USB on OSX? Running OSX 10.9.4, VRS 2.0.2, Mono 3.2.1 When I try and set up the receiver in VRS, I get the attached error. When I try and change the baud rate via the command line, I get these messages: home:~ jfm$ stty -f /dev/tty.usbserial-6...

Re: Create Custom Link w/ Custom Content Plugin

You can also remove the default links. For example, I remove Airframes.Org with:

VRS.linkRenderHandlers.splice(0,1);

The 0 tells it to start at the first item in the array of links (0 is the first) and the 1 tells it to remove 1 item.

Re: linkRender

Thanks, I'll make that change.

Maybe you can change the topic title to something more descriptive, if anyone else is looking to do the same thing?

Re: linkRender

Wait long enough and I'll answer my own questions! I'm injecting the following code at the end of HEAD and it is working! <script type="text/javascript"> VRS.LinkSite["FlightAwareDotCom"] = "flightaware.com"; VRS.linkRenderHandlers.push( new VRS.LinkRenderHandler({ linkSite: VRS.LinkSite.FlightAware...

Re: linkRender

Just doing a bit more reading of the documentation. I think I can replace those two files in their entirety with my own versions using the plugin. But could I instead inject those JS snippets into desktop.html? Maybe at the end of the header?

Thanks again.

Create Custom Link w/ Custom Content Plugin

Hi Andrew, I'm trying to add a link to FlightAware on the Aircraft Detail panel. I'm not sure if this is possible with the Custom Content plugin. Can you tell me if I'm on the right track? The logic I'm trying to use to create the link is: Check for a callsign If it exists and it is a number (e.g. 6...
