Re: Incomplete model descriptions

The questions I have are why is this so ..... The reason for your missing data is that your basestation.sqb database file (the one that VRS references) does not contain the information .... I'm guessing that when you first started using VRS, you downloaded a basestation.sqb that was only partially ...

Re: New user - verify antenna?

The Collinear Coax Antenna, or co-co for short, is very temperamental - if you can build a good one, the reception results can be very good, get it slightly out however, and you might just as well be using a damp piece of string. I would not recommend a co-co as a first antenna and especially not fo...

Re: Rebroadcast merged feed?

Thanks for the explanations, Marcus & Andrew. If I set both my input feeds to Basestation format, then I can create a merged-feed rebroadcast server with Basestation format output, however if either or both my input feeds are set to AVR, then I cannot create a merged-feed rebroadcast server with any...

Re: Rebroadcast merged feed?

Thanks for the reply, Jon ... at least I now know it's not my setup that's at fault.

I'll continue with my workaround (using modesmixer2) until Andrew provides a fix for VRS.

Rebroadcast merged feed?

I have two physical receivers, each set to 'AVR or Beast Raw Feed' format and combined as a merged feed and working fine. So far, so good, however when I try to set up a Rebroadcast Server, specifying the merged feed as Receiver, whichever format I select from the drop-down, I get a warning icon wit...

I'll second that request - it would be a good option to have.

Re: Aircraft video tracking

An interesting project, indeed, some clever work getting it all set up ... although rather a lot of film of tree-tops waving in the breeze :D

Re: Signal level

I think you need to set beast output to get signal strength - my dump1090 .bat file looks like this: @echo off cmd /C dump1090.exe --device-index 0 --interactive --net --net-beast --net-http-port 8080 --net-bo-port 30006 --modeac --net-ro-size 512 --net-ro-rate 5 --net-buffer 5 --enable-agc --ppm 20...
