Re: Draw a polyline on Google map via plugin ?

Guys, the icons I use came from here: https://openclipart.org/collection/coll ... yNico/7797 (Air Traffic Control map symbols) - free to download and use, just need re-sizing as appropriate.

Re: Draw a polyline on Google map via plugin ?

I ran into the same problem when I tried that script - in fact, when I specified my own icon, not only did it not show any marker icons at all, but the aircraft icons disappeared as well! I got around it by following Andrew's second suggestion of using the Google Maps map handle directly as in the s...

Re: DUMP1090 gain setting.

Testing various settings over the past couple of days, the optimum settings (for my set-up) are "--enable-agc" (RTL Automatic Gain Control ON) and the "--gain " omitted, i.e. using default max 'Tuner' gain. Setting both "--enable-agc" and "--gain -10" results in noticeably fewer contacts and reduced...

*some* callsigns show in report but not list view

As the thread title - the callsigns of some current flights fail to show in the list view, however they are being transmitted as they show when a report is generated - see the screenshots below for an example and note the two COBHAM flights G-FRAL & G-FRAR .... the live list view says "Aircraft is n...

Ah ... you need to enter a category (Bizjet, GenAv Helicopter, Jet, Military, Prop) in the 'Sect' box - see below:

Re: ADSB Antenna

I came across those antennas a few days ago and have been wondering about their performance - the claimed 2.3 dBd gain sounds reasonable. The same seller is also offering a matched dipole (with balun) and a 5/8 wave gp with a claimed gain of 3 dBd, for £15.99 with SMS connector or £16.99 with N-type...

Re: DUMP1090 gain setting.

Further to my previous post above, I've been doing some research and suspect that the two gain switches in dump1090 may relate to the 'RTL AGC' and 'Tuner AGC' options in SDR#, i.e. '--enable-agc' = 'RTL AGC' and '--gain -10' = 'Tuner AGC' (the latter in SDR#, when un-checked, can be manually set to...

Re: PBLink and VRS

AFIK, it doesn't need to connect to VRS - it reads the Flights data from your sqb file ........ you do need the VRS database writer plugin running, however.
