Are you having trouble getting Virtual Radar Server installed and running? If so then this is the place to ask about it.

I think you might be blazing a trail with this one, I've not heard of people installing VRS onto a Pi Zero before :) Or at least they've not asked questions about it.

You should be able to follow the instructions on the main site but skip the bits about installing X Windows and just go with a headless installation:

http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Mono.aspx

The short version would be:

1. Install mono.
2. wget the VRS tarball (http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Files/VirtualRadar.tar.gz), unpack it.
3. wget the VRS web admin plugin tarball (http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Files/VirtualRadar.WebAdminPlugin.tar.gz), unpack it.
4. Create an admin user and password in VRS from the command line (mono VirtualRadar.exe -nogui -createAdmin:name -password:password)
5. Thereafter start VRS with the -nogui switch to run it without a GUI (mono VirtualRadar.exe -nogui)

Note that if Jesse Lite is shipping with an out-of-date version of mono, which the full-fat version of Rasbian seems to be doing at the moment, then you won't be able to use the preview versions of the server and web admin plugin. They need mono 4.2 or better. The release builds of VRS and the web admin plugin should be fine though.

How do I get hold of the release builds? Can't see them within the downloads section?

Just registered to say that your advice/instructions were spot on.
I've now got VRS running in mono on a Raspberry Pi Zero W.

All I need to do now is fix the lack of receiver range.

So, thanks very much indeed for the "instructions" really appreciate it.

The release builds are the ones that I linked to in steps 2 and 3 above - however they're also on the downloads page, they're the "Download Mono Tarball" buttons against the server and web admin plugin.
