Msgs not going from dump1090 to VR?

Are you having trouble getting Virtual Radar Server installed and running? If so then this is the place to ask about it.

Msgs not going from dump1090 to VR?

Postby modernhistorian » Sun May 07, 2017 11:22 pm

Running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and dump 1090-mutability. I got VR running after adding the SQLite config file. I can see aircraft data (squawk, etc.) flowing on the dump1090 terminal, but messages are not being processed in VR. Receiver is set to Beast Raw, with address 127.0.0.1 and port 30005. Test connection gives ok, but after saving that receiver connection, it reverts to port 30002. I changed the output port on dump1090 to port 3002, but I still see no no messages in VR, but many in the dump 1090 window. Wy won't VR save port setting, or what else could be wrong? Thanks.

Is there a config file that I could edit directly to convince VRS that the network port to watch is 30005, not 30002?

Still hoping someone can help on this installation. dump1090-mutability is running and showing aircraft. VRS is pointed at 127.0.0.1, AVR or Beast Raw feed, port 30002, and says a connection can be made. But no aircraft are being processed. dump1090 is putting out Beast on port 30005, and I cannot change the receiver setting in VRS. I have tried editing receiver in the Web admin plug-in, with similar results. It says that port 30005 is set, but reverts to 30002 when I navigate from that setting. Any help on this? Thanks.
