Connection refused, why?

Are you having trouble getting Virtual Radar Server installed and running? If so then this is the place to ask about it.

Connection refused, why?

Postby modernhistorian » Fri May 19, 2017 3:27 pm

Using Pi3, flightawarepro stick, latest raspian, and dump1090-mutability, VRS refuses connection. jpegs showing the receiver page in VRS and feed config in dump1090 attached. dump1090 is using 127.0.0.1. dump1090 is showing aircraft activity. VRS log says Exception caught by connector: connection refused. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I can't see any screenshots on your post... however, if the exception is saying that the connection was refused then what it means is that the program that is generating the feed is refusing VRS's connection attempt.

If you have a look at the connection log (Tools | Connector Activity Log) then it may give more information but chances are you've configured the wrong port number in VRS, or you might need to configure dump1090 to tell it to listen for incoming network requests for the feed. I'm afraid that I don't use dump1090 so I'm not going to be a great deal of help with configuring it.
