Okey dokey, I've caught up with all of the new military ICAOs with the exception of the Vigili del Fuoco aircraft - as far as I can make out they're a civil service.

Hi,

There are still many designations of Mil in the country code (most with MIL=YES but some with MIL=NO), is this intentional or should be corrected? That creates 2 countries for one making selection a bit harder.

Germany, Sweden, UK, USA, Poland, Denmark, Finland, France just from 2 days reporting.

Or do I need to do something locally to my sqb file?

Below are the ones coded MIL=NO but with "Mil" added to country. At least all the Swedish entries should be MIL=YES, they are SK60 Fighter Trainers and definitely military.

The problem with 2-RICH was that I wasn't using the latest countries.dat when building the codeblocks table - I've corrected this and it should now be showing as Guernsey civilian.

Regarding the reports, the country name is coming out of BaseStation.sqb which is why there's a discrepancy between the country and the military flag. Are you using BaseStation? What application are you using to update your BaseStation.sqb? The latest countries.dat from Bones' site doesn't list any of those ICAOs as military, which is why they're showing up as civilian in VRS.
