Hi to all!
Let me descript the way i was making Adlite to work properly without
an installation of "basestation.exe and modemixer etc." on my system.
There is a much easier way to get it run! Please give me a feedback as it will do
the job by you or not..
First let me tell you my system configuration:
1. A five bucks dongle from china.
feeded by a "poor man's groundplane" on the roof (selfmade antenna)
2. RaspberryPi, properly installed to run dump1090 and with w-lan connectivity.
(I have no lan-cable to my roof, so i must configer the rasPi to do the job wireless
normaly you should prefer to do hardwareconnections only via cable!!
3. That RasPi/Dump1090 is feeding the raw-data to my LAN.
I use 192.168.0.50 as IP and port 31001. My configuration line in dump1090 looks like that:
> --quiet --net --aggressive --net-sbs-port 0 --net-ri-port 0 --net-bi-port 0 --net-bo-port 0 --net-beast --net-ro-port 31001 <
4. A Computer (win7) that is running VRS, ADSBscope, and ADLite.
There are just two isues which prevent adlite to work properly.
1. There must be a runnig task on your machine named basestation.exe and
2. The data which is feeded to adlite must be in a correct format that VRS-Rebroadcastingserver isnt supply!
With adsbScope you can fix both of them!
adsbscope is a perfect rebroadcastingserver to adlite! (and perhaps to other such as flightradar24 etc.)
Just rename adsbScope27.exe to basestation.exe an run it. ( this solve the first issue )
Now open the other/network/network setup section and set your networkdatas (IP and Port) in "RAW-data-client"
Now it must start to show planes.
in the same section there is a field for enter a (rebroadcasting)ServerPort.
> Server (decoded data) Please enter 30003 < ( this solves the second issue )
The next field for RAW-data-server is not used, so you can left the 7777 on it.
Check the box for "send data from local decoder only".
leave adsbscope alias basestation.exe remain running and minimize it to the taskline.
Now start ADlite.
In Adlite go to the settings/receiver section and enter
127.0.0.1 for the IP and 30003 for the port. Check TCP.
Just try this and give me a feedback.
The attached PDF shows exactly my configuration
sorry i cant attach any pdf!
Attention to AGW: Would You please allow .pdf - Attachements !
Are you having trouble getting Virtual Radar Server installed and running? If so then this is the place to ask about it.
