AN Other Exception Caught

Something happened, VRS quit loading after a brownout.

Things I have tried.

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling several times.
2. Seems like the error is a disk IO type error with SQLite.
3. Haved marked the old database by changing extension to .old and copied a fresh database file into that directory.
4. Rebooted computer several times.

All of the above still result in the same error which is the screenshot below.

Since VRS won't load I can't get at the Options to try different configurations. VRS 2.02 has been running fine since 2.0.2 became available.

You may have a BaseStation.sqb.journal file in the same folder as BaseStation.sqb - if you have then rename it to something else, or move it to the recycle bin, and try again.

Deleting that BaseStation.sqb.journal fixed it. Many Thanks

The journal file is created by SQLite, it holds pending writes to the database. If VRS is stopped abruptly then SQLite doesn't get a chance to remove it, and if it's only got partial writes in it then it complains when you restart VRS about it being corrupt.

One way around it is for me to change VRS so that instead of writing the journal to disk it writes it to memory instead, so that if VRS dies then there's no journal file left lying around. That can potentially mean that the update that VRS was in the middle of doing never gets written to the database, but I don't think that's going to be much of an issue for BaseStation.sqb. I'll look into this for the next release.
