Post by w7psk » Sat Jul 05, 2014 11:44 pm

Not sure if its VRS or the FR24 program not feeding it.

Have it 3rd under A/C selections

Which feed format are you using when you receive data from FR24? Is it BaseStation / Port 30003? If so then FR24 is probably not sending the squawk, but you can double-check by looking at the feed with a web browser (IE seems to manage it alright but Chrome wouldn't show it - you might need to experiment).

The address to use in the browser is http://<address from FR24 feed settings>:<port from FR24 feed settings>/.

For example, if in VRS the feed address is and the port is 30003 then the address to use in Internet Explorer would be

You should eventually see a bunch of lines like this:

Code: Select all

You'll note that each value is separated by a comma - the format is described here: ... t_Data.htm.

You're looking for the 5th-from-last value (or 18th overall, but it's easier to count backwards). In the example above on the first line the 5th from last value is empty but on the second line it's "2011". The second line is carrying a squawk code of 2011. If you don't see anything in the 5th from last value for any line then that will be why you're not seeing squawk codes. If you are seeing squawks then copy one of the lines that has the squawk here and I'll take a look at it.

Otherwise if it's not Port 30003 then let me know what format it is.
