Track not displayed in reports.

Post by watsonm » Wed Dec 10, 2014 10:12 pm

Not sure if this is a bug or working as designed......

I use CustomGlobalOptions.html to stop the the aircraft trails on the standard map by the following.

VRS.globalOptions.suppressTrails = true;

However it also stops the line being drawn between the start and end point of a flight I have tracked when I run a report.

If I comment out the above line in the CustomGlobalOptions.html file I get the aircraft trail in the standard map and also between the start end point.
If I then go into the menu -> option->Aircraft and select Aircraft Trails , do not show, then it allows the line to be drawn in the report and disables
it in the standard map.

Is there a way I can set this up in the HTML file?

Well it's kind of working as designed, as in I hadn't considered the possibility of disabling trails but still having them show in the report :)

One possibility would be to only set VRS.globalOptions.suppressTrails if the page isn't a report page. If there is a function called VRS.Report then it's a report page, so you could do:

Code: Select all

if(VRS.Report === undefined) {
    // Do things here that you don't want to do on report pages...
} else {
    // Do things here that only apply to report pages
}
