Delay in aircraft reporting

Hello,
I have noticed a delay in aircraft showing up. I will watch the plane fly over my position, only to have it show up on the map 1-2 minutes later.
My setup is:
Dell laptop
NooElec TV28T v2 DVB-T USB Stick (R820T)
adsbsharp
VRS 2.1.0
Has anyone experienced this, and have any suggestions for explaining and or fixing it?

VRS doesn't have a live data delay built into it. There was a similar question some time ago, someone was getting some lag with ADSBSharp. It looks like switching to RTL1090 fixed the issue:
