Reciver Range below 2000ft

The "to-do" list for Virtual Radar Server is as long as my arm, but if you want to pile more work onto it then this is for you.

Hello,

Is it possible to see my range under the 2000 or 1000 ft instead of 9999 ft ?

kind regards,

No, the altitude ranges that are plotted are hard-coded into the program. You would need to build your own custom version of VRS if you wanted to change them.

If you want to do that then the instructions for downloading and building the VRS source are here:http://vrs.codeplex.com/documentation

The bit you need to change is in VirtualRadar.Library | Listener | PolarPlotter.cs, the altitude ranges are set up in the Initialise function around line 122:

Code: Select all

_Slices.Clear();
_Slices.Add(new PolarPlotSlice() { AltitudeLower = int.MinValue, AltitudeHigher = int.MaxValue });
_Slices.Add(new PolarPlotSlice() { AltitudeLower = int.MinValue, AltitudeHigher = 9999 });       // <-- change the 9999 here to 1999
_Slices.Add(new PolarPlotSlice() { AltitudeLower = 10000,        AltitudeHigher = 19999 });      // <-- change the 10000 here to 2000
_Slices.Add(new PolarPlotSlice() { AltitudeLower = 20000,        AltitudeHigher = 29999 });
_Slices.Add(new PolarPlotSlice() { AltitudeLower = 30000,        AltitudeHigher = int.MaxValue });

Would you consider making the the ranges dynamic in a future release? Please, please, please.
