"GND" Receiver range plots.

The "to-do" list for Virtual Radar Server is as long as my arm, but if you want to pile more work onto it then this is for you.

"GND" Receiver range plots.

Post by Steve Eldridge » Sat Sep 24, 2016 8:50 pm

After initial problems with mono, I have VRS up and running very well and it is doing a great job.

One feature I, and I expect other users near airports, would like would be to have a GND receiver range plot.

I live near Gatwick (EGKK) and have a few blind spots (both end holding points  ) that I would like to investigate. Obviously these are caused by obstructions, trees only, in that direction from me but local buildings to the airport cast similar sharper shadows at that end. Not much I can do about any obstructions, admittedly :(

Leaving aside gain, diversity or moving an aerial, I am quite interested to monitor the Autumn dieback and falling of the leaves of these pesky trees!

Could a GND range plot be included, please.

That would be quite useful, I've added it to the list.
