Dropping Google Maps

The "to-do" list for Virtual Radar Server is as long as my arm, but if you want to pile more work onto it then this is for you.

Thank you for the new version, it works great!

At first I got:

Code: Select all

WARNING: The runtime version supported by this application is unavailable.
Using default runtime: v4.0.30319
[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: InterfaceFactory.ClassFactoryException: SQLiteConnectionStringBuilderWrapper does not implement ISQLiteConnectionStringBuilder
but then I found this page, and now with the VirtualRadar.exe.config it works.

is there a straight forward away of adding the map tile server option bar that can be selected for the web browser "like on google maps where you can choose maps, satellite or contrast"
It's probably possible. However, one of the issues with using free tile servers is that users have to comply with the conditions that providers place on their use, and not everyone will be able to meet every provider's conditions. I can't just let users choose from any tile server, I would need to have something in the server options where people can tick off which tile servers they'd like people to be able to use and then only let users pick from those. I think that's more of a future problem than a now problem :)
