CVS Export of Reports

The "to-do" list for Virtual Radar Server is as long as my arm, but if you want to pile more work onto it then this is for you.

CVS Export of Reports

Postby paradiselost » Mon Aug 18, 2014 9:11 pm

A mechanism for exporting the Report files to add extra field sorting is needed.

Since the report relates to local contacts, sorting the ICAO would ease interaction with local Registrars to get current information on the unknown registration flights.

All of the spreadsheet programs offer sorting functionality.

Since missing callsigns is something that is controlled by the flight crews programming, perhaps training or retraining could be suggested. Without callsigns routing is impossible.

Exporting to Excel is already on the list of things to do, although it'll probably be via a plugin rather than built into the main program. Not sure when it's going to get done though :)

I wonder if it was any improvement to "CVS Export Reports - Project" till 2014 .

That would be a perfect idea , just waiting for it :D

You can do it manually.
1. Create report and open developer tools (Ctrl + Shift + I)
2. Copy table to clipboard
4. Paste the HTML of a table in a text file called file.xls
5. Add <html> to the beginning and </html> to the end.
6. Open it with a spreadsheet
7. Save it as CSV.

That's strange. I tried with LibreOffice Calc, and all was good. But anyway you can use

Code: Select all

dec2hex
function.

Solved the problem
Use now the Chrome plugin copytables. Copy the table as csv and past it into an editor. After that save it, works.
