Hi
Would it be possible to have any two aircraft to become highlighted when they come close to each other ? something on the lines of Blue if closer than 2,000ft vertical and green 4 miles Laterally ?? I think it would give a bit more realism to a cluttered map !!

It's certainly possible 
I'll have to give it a try first though, if you have 900 aircraft on the map then that could potentially be a lot of calculations to see which ones have a separation conflict. Although detecting altitude conflicts is cheap, it's just comparing two numbers, so you'd only need to look for distance conflicts between aircraft that first have an altitude conflict, which could save a lot of time. I'll add an item to the list to remind me to look into it.
