VRS aborts

Post by Steve Eldridge » Wed Sep 21, 2016 7:31 pm

Hello, I'm having problems running VRS for more than 5-15 minutes before the program aborts. When VRS is running, it behaves perfectly. I am using linux Mint 17.3 and Planefinder box.

This is the output I get from the Terminal:

steve@fanless ~ $ cd VRS
steve@fanless ~/VRS $ mono VirtualRadar.exe
WARNING: The runtime version supported by this application is unavailable.

I hope that this helps to narrow down the problem...

It's a crash in one of the libraries that mono is calling. Which version of Mono are you using, is it 4.4.0? Also do you get the crash when running headless (mono VirtualRadar.exe -nogui)?

 I'm afraid that I was using version 4.2.1.102 - the default in the Mint repository  I have removed that and added the repository debian wheezy main. That offered me 4.6.0.245.

This seems to have fixed it :D

VRS is running perfectly now and has been up for a few hours, allowing me to start exploring it properly!

Many thanks for a speedy and very helpful reply.
