running multiple instances of VRS

Post by gariac » Tue Mar 17, 2015 10:44 pm

Is there any way to run two copies of VRS using different dongles?

I was thinking of setting up docker unless there is some easy solution.

Sorry for the late reply. You can just tell one instance of VRS about both dongles and then choose which receiver you want to view from the web site (or merge them together into a single feed). However if you want to run two instances then yes, you can do it - you need to take a copy of VRS's configuration folder and then tell the second instance of VRS to use that folder instead of the default folder. The command-line switch for that is -workingfolder. For example, if you copied the configuration folder to /tmp/VRS2 then the command line would be:

mono VirtualRadar.exe -workingfolder:/tmp/VRS2

Note that there's no space between the colon and the path.

There are so many hidden features! I will give this a shot. I want to compare the 820t and the 820t2.
