Adding visualization library to google maps load.

Post by drjson » Mon Apr 17, 2017 4:06 am

I'm trying to do a custom content enabled layer and I need the visualization library. I see in jquery.vrs.map.js in the _loadGoogleMapsScript fn there is a section for libraries but I can't figure out if I am able to modify that variable.

Code: Select all

            if (this.options.libraries.length > 0) {
                params.libraries = this.options.libraries.join(',');
            }

If I use full custom content and override that with the below, it works great:

Code: Select all

	    params.libraries = "visualization";
Is there some way I can have it load the library from within an inserted script by setting that this.options.libraries variable?

Looks like I would have to override the jQueryUIHelper.getMapOptions before everything gets bootstrapped. There's an overrides, but I am not sure how to pass that into the constructor. Either way, easiest thing was to keep the custom resources and just modify the one line of the getMapOptions function and now I have my custom heatmap layer using the visualization API.
