Looking for simple software to graph from VRS

Post by MK2wx » Sat Sep 23, 2017 10:35 am

Hi Folks,

I feed flightaware, but I'm not all that gone on the output from the stats page.

I'd like to revert to dump1090 running on my PI2 and use it to feed VRS on my Linux desktop. I'm already doing this on the PI Aware image, and it's been nicely writing a database over a month or two now.

I'd like to be able to generate stats along the lines of flightaware but with a format for the fonts and graphs involved which is closer to mt personal taste. I'm not interested in MLAT and ranking is another thing I have no need for.

Is anyone already doing this stuff themselves? Care to share which software you use? And how? I need it to work with Debian. I did quite like the output from modesmixer2 two in this respect, but it was far too unreliable for my liking.

Any thoughts you may have would be of interest if you'd like to share them.

I use cacti

There you can create graphs

I have made it availeble via snmp

So i have one cacti instance that graph al receivers.

You can als use only rrd tool or dump1090-tools then you get collectd

Kind regards erwin
