List distances wrong when viewed on iOS?

Post by RickNY » Mon Nov 05, 2018 2:00 pm

Hello.. When I access my VRS web server on anything other than my iPhone, the distances listed in the list are correct.. However, under iOS 12.1 on an iPhone XS Max, when I view them in mobile Safari, the distances are all increased by around 2950 nmi.. Is this a known issue?

The distances are measured from the browser's location. By default this is the centre of the map but on mobile devices it (by default) tries to use your GPS position. However, you can set a manual position in the same way that you can set it on the desktop if things aren't working there.

I could have sworn I set the location manually when I first tried it on the phone, but apparently I did not.. Manually selecting the location resolved it.

Thank you
