Connect Aircraft simulation to VRS

Post by bergtwvd » Thu Dec 27, 2018 3:45 pm

I like to connect a simulation to VRS using the BaseStation SBS1 protocol. I got a small application running simulating one aircraft, publishing MSG3 messages on the default port 30003.
VRS connects fine to this port, however I do not see an aircraft appearing in the VRS gui.

From post viewtopic.php?t=22 I got some more information. I adapted the MSG3 message to also include the additional fields such as call sign.
Still no effect.

What is the absolute minimum (msg + fields) I need to submit on 30003 to get an aircraft in VRS ?
How can I obtain debug info on what is rejected for example?
What is the update rate of messages I should use?
What checks are there on the validity of some of the fields, like the ICAOaddress that I make up ? (fields like lat, lon and alt are fine)

Thanks for any help!

The issue was solved by adding "\r\n" after each transmitted message !
