I have already found the bug and submitted the fix. It should be fixed in the next release.

I'm unable to get distance option to work.
I did enter my location in program but it still shows planes 5000 kilometers distance in reports.
Also I'm unable to set distance under 100km condition....no planes shows.

New release is out on github fixing the crashing issues, thanks to tinjaw: http://github.com/Dom2364/PlaneAlerter.
As for the distance issues avioradar is talking about, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. The location only affects the calculations done by the server to find your distance from the aircraft, and won't filter any of the data used by planealerter.

sorry.

no planes shows in planealerter, not map.

eg, when I enter my location 42,5614 18,2682 and any condition (except Distance = less then 100km), all contacts are shown in e-mail as Distance: 6000+ kilometers. Imposible. My receivers all together have 400-500NM range from my location.
- Distance = less then 100km gives no data.
when I enter round location eg. 42,0000 18,0000 it works fine but distance is not correct as that is not my location.

Hi,

I've just found PlaneAlerter and it's a great idea! Thanks for taking the time to make it!

I've just downloaded PlaneAlerter-2.0.2.zip and there is no application in the download? Is there a step by step set up guide anywhere?

Thanks

Hello , I recently got an idea about the PlaneAlerter software, but I don't know how plausible it is. :?:

I thought that it would be perfect if the PlaneAlerter had some kind of "ALARM" that after some parameter's trigger , to play some kind of alarm sound on computer's headphones !

In example , when a military aircraft approach near to your receiver , the program should be able to play some kind of continuous alert sound (until the target leaves from your coverage or geofence position) (like sonar's sound or any "beep") in order to notify you (except from email messages).

It would be also usefull to have the choice of email alert , or just sound alert through your computer speakers.

I really like this idea , but my programming knowledge is not enough for making it real..

Thank you very much in advance ,

Keep up this PERFECT work ! :)

Sounds like a good idea, and it can be done. Might make it either play once for a second or keep playing until it is acknowledged. I'll add it to the todo list, but I've been extremely busy working on my vrs setup and things at school. Thanks for the suggestion :)

yep !

Keep it in mind and you can possible illustrate it when you have more free time :)

(I think that you can possible make it to auto stop the alarm sound playing after the target goes off our range. This should be more close and realistic to how real military radars work)

I really can't wait for the next update of PlaneAlerter. !

Thank you again, you are perfect ! :D
