Hi Everyone
We have been trialling an experimental MLAT system in the UK.
The good news is that it appears to work even though it is very much a work in progress.
we are now taking RAW data from Raspberry Pi's, Beasts, Radarcape's and Kinetic SBS-3 and Puck1090 units. There is no reason why the SBS-1 series running Basestation should not be able to help.
You can view the GB results on www.vrs-world.com.
We are now looking for new UK based feeders to share their data. Our German team are also looking for candidates.
If you would like to take part in this trial, please drop me a PM or email at support(at)vrs-world.com.
For those of you in the North America area, please wait whilst the server side code is worked out. It is not fully developed yet into something that can be released. At present everything is running on the developers server. Once it is released we will workout how to provide a service. Almost certainly it will require a new server that will have to be sponsored. That may apply to both the GB and German operations.
Best wishes
Jon

Former PP feeder Bm. No longer feeding. I do not have time to sort out imaginary problems with NTP
when it has been working fine for 2+ Years.

Re: GB MLAT
whats the chances of having this mlat code shares with andrew to include local mlat in VRS?
Re: GB MLAT
Almost certainly this will be stand alone to VRS. However as and when the server code is released, there is no reason why someone cannot set up an MLAT server for the US and Canada. I run the North American server for VRS World and we hope to be able to do this for our feeders Same for the UK and ROW where it is possible...
