New to the forum, and I'm trying to set up my RTL-SDR dongle in Virtual Radar. 126.96.36.19987 64bit
After I've run the receiver wizard, and click on the Test Connection button, I get the following error:
[Receiver] [Exception] Exception caught by connector: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:30002
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:30002; Socket I/O error, error = 10061, native = 10061, code = ConnectionRefused at
System.Net.Sockets.Socket.EndConnect(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at VirtualRadar.Library.Network.NetworkConnector.ActiveModeCompleteConnect(IAsyncResult asyncResult);
This is copied from the connections log in Virtual Radar.
I have set the port to 8080 when installing Virtual Radar, and allowed the Firewall option to be configured to allow Virtual Radar, and also loaded the Virtual Radar.exe as an allowed programme in my Avast AV/Firewall, and in Malware Bytes.
Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?
My computer is running Windows 10 Pro 64bit, with all the latest updates installed
Update: I had the dongle plugged into a USB3 Hub, and everything I ran (SDR#, PDW3, RTL Scanner, and SDR Console v3 worked fine with it like that.
I plugged the dongle into a USB3 port on the computer itself and now Virtual Radar allows me to set up the receiver, it connects, and is receiving/sending data and messages.
Are you having trouble getting Virtual Radar Server installed and running? If so then this is the place to ask about it.
