I've added an item to the list to get the database writer to ignore messages with non-standard characters in the ICAO code.

Please add the option to completely ignore them, from lists, plotting on map etc.

For those of us that have uncensored feeds, the fake icaos will create duplicate targets.

The server itself was already ignoring invalid ICAOs, i.e. those with non-hex characters in them, it was just the database writer plugin that was taking them at face value and saving them to the database.

The latest preview of the database writer plugin fixes this, it now only saves valid ICAOs. If you install it then you'll also need to install the preview server as well.

Hello,

Said to say i think future of ADSB and MODE-S will be secured and encrypt.

I see already somes datasheets for new version of mode-s for civil aviation and military jets has already i use.

so wil take somes time, but i future de most MODE-S code can be encrypt.

There's been talk of this, but I don't see any concrete action moving in that direction. It would also be a _huge_ undertaking.

Indeed, i think that for civil aviation costs too much. Only interest for military i think.
