Suppressing specific Mode-S

Post by darrylcn » Fri May 17, 2019 4:14 pm

Can this be done? There’s a few that are always in my list, for example ADF7C9 and ADF8E6. I was able to suppress Call Sign TEST1234 with a filter but there isn’t space to add more than one code to the ICAO filter. Can specific Mode S codes be hidden somehow? Thanks!

There is a Feed Filter Plugin, you can use it to cut out unnecessary HEX from the display.

And it worked perfectly thanks again. Just for my own future reference I needed to install the Feed Filter, enable it, and install the WebAdmin plugin. I then added a user as an administrator in VRS itself to be able to login to the Feed filter. I added ADF7C9 and ADF8E6, one on each line in the Feed Filter config page.

FWIW you don't need the web admin plugin. From what I remember the feed filter currently only has a web page for adding ICAO ranges to filter out but configuration of the plugin itself (i.e. the enabling it, setting the IP ranges that can access it etc.) can be done via the normal plugin options.

Oh ok thanks. This was a case of me sort of fumbling through it until it worked. Glad that wasn’t required. That said it’s sort of neat to be able to see the reports and stats in a format outside VRS I guess
